Supervisor – Community Employment – Tiglin Challenge

Purpose
Supervisor must be competent to oversee the administrative, technical and participant development aspects of the project.
Financial: Supervisor must keep financial accounting system up-to-date and in line with sound accounting procedures and conventions. Ensure prompt payment of invoices to suppliers and training providers, submit financial returns and claims to DSP. Ensure effective budget management. Have a good track record in financial management of projects.
Supervisor will carry out an identification of Learner Needs process with each participant on the project as part of the Individual Learner Plan process. To agree needs and source effective training/development opportunities to meet the needs identified. Prepare an Individual Learning Plan for each participant for submission to DSP within the agreed time frame. To carry out any other function relevant to the position of Community Employment as indicated by Sponsor.
The CE Supervisor will be a multitasking person who is able to carry out the duties, goals and standards for Community employment as set out by the DSP.

The duties include:
To supervise the up keep of all financial accounts in line with account procedures.
Working as part of team overseeing participants on CE.
Ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of participants.
Keeping very accurate records and databases up to date to DSP standards.
To maintain and prepare financial accounts for end of year audit.
Book keeping.
Payroll.
Supervise general office duties.
Generating reports and statistics as required for the Board of Directors and sponsors.
Sourcing and managing office supplies.
Development of Individual Learning plans for each participant.
Sourcing of accredited training.
Work closely with sponsor group.
Liaise with Community/Business partners to source work experience.
Manage and supervise community projects that supports the progression of the drug rehab program.
To undertake any other duties as may be reasonably assigned by the Project Manager or CEO from time to time.
To manage and oversee the individual’s progression of ILP’s in line with their rehabilitation plan.
To report directly to Project Manager and to prepare and provide information for CEO and/or Board of Directors reports.
Ensure the implementation of all up to date legislation in policies regarding employment of CE participants.
Supervision of CE scheme participants.
Development of individual Learning plans for each CE participant.
Sourcing of QQI and other accredited training.
Liaise with Community/Business partners to source job opportunities.
To perform such other reasonable duties as requested by the CEO and/or Board of Directors.
To support group work that is focused on addiction awareness and relapse prevention along with other Social Care and life skills modules.
To establish and participate in the process of referrals and undertaking assessments.
Implement actions arising from team meetings related to fundraising. Strategic plans, keeping records.
Policy changes/update

Essential Requirements
2 years work experience in a supervisory/management capacity.
QQI Level 6 or above in addiction/social studies or similar.
Knowledge of drugs policy and its implementation
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to work with participants professionally and with empathy.
The ability to work in professional boundaries.
The ability to prepare and implement training programs and knowledge of QQI awards.
Knowledge/experience of accounting and administration procedures.
