Rowlagh Parish Playgroup is a preschool catering for 3-5 year olds in the Rowlagh area. We operate the ECCE scheme for 24 children. There are 3 part time staff members.

The playgroup is situated in Rowlagh Parish Community Centre, Neilstown Road, Clondalkin, Dublin 22.

Responsibilities in the position:
The day to day running of the preschool
Building positive relationships with parents and families in the community
Ensuring high standards in the care and education of each of the children attending and being vigilant to the needs and development of each child.
All relevant paperwork connected to the children, families, regulations and best practice in childcare.
Preparation of applications and compliance for ECCE scheme
All preparation in respect of inspections
Support and supervision of staff in the centre, CE workers and students where appropriate
Support in the implementation of Siolta and Aistear guidelines
All relevant work involved in the day to day running of the service

The candidate must:
Minimum FETAC Level 6 qualification in Childcare
Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory role
Have excellent communication skills
Be competent in a supervisory role
Have a good knowledge of Siolta and Aistear and its implementation
Have a friendly and relaxed approach
Be a good team member with leadership skills to lead and motivate a team

The employment will be based in Rowlagh Parish Playgroup, Rowlagh Parish Community Centre, Rowlagh, Dublin 22.

Hours of work: 8.45am – 12.30pm

Term: Term time contract in conjunction with ECCE calendar
