Job Purpose
Camphill Community Thomastown runs an established Supported Living Service supporting individuals living in their own home, apartments or shared house in the local community as tenants in their own right; with access to a popular Day Service facility with public garden, café and gallery.
The post provides support for 2 semi-independent tenants of 21 day hours and two sleep-over.
eneral Job Description:
To support individuals to maintain their tenancy, home and life in the local community. To facilitate safe living arrangement and active community participation according to needs and wishes. To work with individual plans, to reach goals and positive outcomes.

Excellent communication, and problem-solving skills,
Empathy and sensitivity to others.
The ability to work collaboratively and motivate a team to enthusiastically support individuals
Energy and enthusiasm; be highly motivated, reliable and have a flexible approach to working hours
Good report writing, organizational and time management skills
An openness to the Camphill Ethos and alternative models of Social Care
An Understanding of Standards, Regulations, Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults and Duty of Care
Work experience in a related area such as personal assistant/carer, community development or social care and/or community regeneration
Experience in supporting people in semi-independent living
Full Clean Driving License.
