Mid West Simon Community would like to recruit for the following position: Team Leader for a Family Hub in Limerick- this post will be Full Time for a period of two years with extension depended on funding.
The Team Leader will develop and manage the Mid West Simon Community Family Hub. The post holder will lead and motivate a team of staff and volunteers, ensuring that Hubs provided through Mid West Simon Community are high quality, based on best practice models and responsive to the needs of families.
The Team Leader must have knowledge and experience of:
Degree in social care or a related discipline.
A minimum of three years’ experience working in a similar role within a social care setting.
A knowledge of how Family Hubs operate within homeless sector
Manage a team of staff and volunteers
Managing an effective and efficient operation of a 24 hour, 7 day a week, rota system for all staff.
Excellent administrative, financial management and reporting experience.
Excellent understanding of Homelessness and related issues
Knowledge of the social welfare system as it relates to housing support and care and familiarity with relevant legislation and policy in social housing.
Flexibility in work practice
Knowledge and experience of a variety of services within the field of social care, homelessness and social housing.
Ability to build relationships within private rented sector, Approved Housing Bodies and Local authority in order to secure swift move on and appropriate accommodation for families
Ability to represent the organisation on a variety of fora – local and regional
Experience of contributing to the review and development of services within a social care/housing setting.
Ability to make efficient use of time and manage workload
Have a valid and full clean drivers licence
