Foróige, the National Youth Development Organisation, which promotes and fosters youth development through the operation of various youth services in urban and rural areas throughout the country, in partnership with local advisory groups and funded by the Cork Local Drugs and Alcohol Task force, invite applications for the following vacancy:
TEMPORARY DRUGS PROJECT WORKER (Sick Leave Cover)
The Greenmount Community Based Drugs Initiative (CBDI) is based in Cork City and aims to engage constructively with young people in the respective areas at risk from drug or alcohol misuse and to support those misusing to access and benefit from appropriate treatment.
The successful applicant will meet the following essential criteria;
Education to National Diploma or Degree standard preferably in youth / addiction / health promotion work (E)
A minimum of 1 year relevant work experience (E)
Access to car and full driving licence (E)
Experience working with young people affected by drugs, alcohol or related problems (E)
Paid or voluntary, experience working with young people (E)
