Athy Retail Skills is a Local Training Initiative programme sponsored by County Kildare Leader Partnership and Longford Westmeath Educational and Training Board in Athy Training and Enterprise Centre. An immediate vacancy exists for a Temporary Coordinator to support the running of a full time training programme leading to a QQI Major Award at Level 4 in Retail Skills. The successful candidate will be required to tutor adults of varying ages and levels of education in QQI Level 4 modules: Communications, Career Planning, Customer Service, Information Technology Skills and Teamworking. An ability to tutor Retail Sales Techniques, Retail Payment Procedures & Stock Control is desirable. The Coordinator will be required to manage/administer and organise the programme in conjunction with an Assistant Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be required to prepare, deliver and assess in conjunction with an Assistant Coordinator the QQI Major award.
Skills Requirements
The successful candidate will be required to have a strong knowledge of the National Qualifications Framework system of accreditation and a QQI quality assurance process. The ideal candidate will be friendly and adaptable and have the ability to maintain confidentiality. Please note only candidates with relevant teaching qualification and a minimum of two years relevant teaching experience with adult learners will be considered.
