Foróige, the National Youth Development Organisation, which promotes and fosters youth development through the operation of various youth services in urban and rural areas throughout the country, through the Irish Youth Justice Service, Department of Justice and Equality in conjunction with An Garda Síochána, invite applications for the following vacancy:
YOUTH JUSTICE WORKER; JAY Garda Youth Diversion Project
The JAY Project is a Garda Youth Diversion Project based in Kiltalown, Jobstown in Tallaght, Dublin 24. This post will be part of a network of Garda Youth Diversion Projects; funded by the Department of Justice and Equality and by the European Social Fund 2014 – 2020 and Dormant Accounts funding through the Irish Youth Justice Service, in conjunction with An Garda Síochána and will be managed by Foróige.
The successful applicant will have the following essential requirements;
Education to National Diploma or Degree standard, preferably in Youth / Justice / Health Promotion work (candidates with exceptional, relevant work experience may also be considered in lieu of degree qualifications).
A minimum of 1 year experience in a GYDP or similar role.
Relevant paid or voluntary experience of working with young people.
Access to car and full Irish Driving licence.
