Youth Worker & Afterschools Worker – Carlow Regional Youth Services Ltd

Youth Worker p/t position 17.5 hours per week

Youth Worker with responsibility for direct work with young people in individual and group work settings. The successful candidate will have the ability to plan, deliver and evaluate programmes and will have experience in the delivery of evidence based and evidence informed programmes.

A third level qualification in youth work or an equivalent discipline, and experience of working with young people in a youth work setting is essential

Afterschools Worker 20 hours per week

Afterschools Worker Key Duties/Responsibilities of position will include:
Providing a safe nurturing environment for young people in an afterschools setting.
Providing Homework Support for young people aged 8-12 years.
Planning and delivering activities with an emphasis on personal and social development.
Building links with local schools, families and the community.
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant qualification (Childcare/Social Care/Youth & Community Work, etc.) and experience of working with young people in an afterschool setting is also desirable.
