Description

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, The Manufacturing Engineering Technician will be responsible for setting and on-going maintenance on high speed, automated production machinery and for providing technical support to the operations team. Job Responsibilities will include: To provide technicial support for operations equipment, machine automation and health and safety in the area. To take responsibility for preventative maintenance procedures. To perform routine machinery maintenance as required. Assist in implementing technicial improvements. Communicate with engineering on product performance and functionality issues. Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to Production Manager. Any other duties that may reasonably be required.

Skills Requirements

Third Level / trades electrical qualification required. Preferably 2-3 years experience desirable within an electrical / mechanical role. Knowledge of PLCs, excellent at troubleshooting. Flexible with hours and good communicator. Candidates should be able to work of their own initiative and must also be a team player. Knowledge of HACCP an advantage.
