92.5 Phoenix FM is recruiting a Production Coordinator. This is a part-time permanent position of 20 hours a week partly funded by Pobal based at our office and studio in the Blanchardstown Centre in Dublin 15. We particularly welcome those who are currently unemployed or those who are on job creation initiatives. 92.5 Phoenix FM is a local community radio station in Blanchardstown serving a population of over 110,000 in the Dublin North West area. We broadcast a range of programmes including music, magazine programmes, Irish language and music programmes, special interest programmes and programmes for minority groups in the area 20 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Purpose of the Role: The Production Coordinator is responsible for the production of advertisements, on-air promotion and assisting with recording and production of general programming.
Key Responsibilities:
Production of on-air advertisements
Lead the production of on-air advertisements through scripting, recording and editing.
Liaise with clients to draw up a schedule of production.
Compile monthly reports to the Fundraising, Financial and Promotion sub-committee.
Production of on-air promotion for 92.5 Phoenix FM
Produce promotional material for station programming and events.
Assist the Station Manager with publicity and communications.
Create sig-tunes and stings for station programming
Other Duties:
Assist with Sound & Vision projects in production capacity such as recording, editing and producing.
Assist volunteers with programme production where appropriate.
Assist with the production of outside broadcasts where necessary.
Assist with grant applications in terms of costing and production where appropriate.
Contribute to the promotion of 92.5 Phoenix FM through engaging with stakeholders and representing the station as identified with the Station Manager.
Contribute to the development of 92.5 Phoenix FM.
Person specification:
This position requires a number of professional and personnel attributes including but not limited to the following;
A qualification in Media Studies or a related field
Experience of Audio Production & Editing Systems
The ability to design production treatments and budgets
Planning Skills
Organisational Skills
Communication Skills – written and verbal
Adaptability
