Description

Work with the Production Manager as one of several Supervisors, to meet the demands of a busy high volume Production facility. Main Duties & Responsibilities: Manage, supervise, coach and develop a team of production operators. Regularly hold team meetings and line meetings. Complete 1:1 performance reviews with operators on a quarterly basis. Responsible for meeting production Plans & Schedules as agreed with the Production Control Department and Production Manager.Develop systems and procedures for continuous improvements and contribute to and drive 5S and Lean projects across the production department and plant.Report performance against agreed metrics. Interface with various departments to develop, implement and maintain efficiency and quality.Ensure all manufacturing personnel are fully trained and implement cross training plans and complete versatility matrices across the shift to ensure key operations are covered on the shift.

Skills Requirements

Requirements / Essential Skills / Attributes: 3+ years experience of leading/managing people in a production environment.Excellent English Communications Skills, both written and verbal.Computer literacy essential especially MS Office.Team Player and ability to work on own initiative. Strong understanding of the pressures associated in leading a production team. Desirable not essential:Third level qualification, certificate, diploma or higher in production.
