Blanchardstown Community Training Centre provides vocational and life skills training to young unemployed people and early school leavers aged 16-21 in the Dublin 15 area. The Centre responds to learner needs through the provision of a variety of flexible training options that ultimately support their progression into the workplace or further learning environment.
The Board of Blanchardstown CTC invites applications from enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals for the position of:
DIGITAL MEDIA Instructor (12 months fixed term contract)
Applicant must possess:
A recognised diploma/qualifications in digital media or similar discipline
Knowledge of a range of ICT products and systems
Experience of working with young people
Knowledge and experience of delivering QQI level 3 & 4 modules in general and digital media related skills
A learner –centred approach to the work & ability to provide guidance to learners
An ability to work as part of a team including staff, parents and stakeholders
An ability to use Mac operating system
Duties will include: Training, assessment and monitoring of learner course work in the relevant skills area to QQI level standards; supporting learners with creation of E-portfolio, reporting daily to the Centre Manager; direct supervision of learners; assisting with the planning, development and implementation of CTC services within a Quality Assurance Framework and other duties as appropriate.
The post is for a 12 month fixed term contract.
Salary – €31,652.00
