Applicants must possess:
A recognised diploma / qualification in Childcare related subject area or similar
Significant and relevant experience of working with young people aged 16 – 21 years
A learner centred and flexible approach to training and meeting learner needs
Good IT Skills
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
An awareness of QQI and the National Framework of Qualifications
Ideally, applicants will have experience of delivering QQI Level 4 training modules in the following core subjects:
Childcare and Safety,
Child Development and Play, Understanding Interculturalism, Information Technology Skills
Duties will include:
Training learners in modules which, lead to the Major QQI Level 4 Early Childhood Education and Care Support Award (4M2014)
Assessment and monitoring of learner course work in the relevant skills area to QQI level standards
Assisting with the planning, development and implementation of CTC programmes and services within a Quality Assurance Framework
Provision of supports to learners including Keyworking and one-to-one work
Supervision of learners and other duties as appropriate
This is initially a 6 month fixed term contract. The salary scale associated with the post is €31,652 to €56,473 with maximum entry points applicable.
