Deputy PIC, 2 positions
Applicants are sought from individuals who have previous management experience and an interest in taking a leading role in developing and influencing services. The applicant will have a third level qualification in Social Care, Health & Social Care, Social work, Nursing or other relevant health qualification, a proven track record of effective service development and delivery, and three or more year’s leadership and/or management experience.
Experience of working with people with an intellectual disability and/or persons with a dual diagnosis is essential, and ideally experience of mental health and older persons support, as well as a working knowledge of Person Centred Planning and Behavioural Support Planning within an adult’s residential service is desired. The post holder will be the deputy Person in Charge and be required to deputise for the Person in Charge in their absence. The post holder will be required to work some unsocial hours and participate in an on call rota.
House Coordinator Maternity Cover (immediate until January 2018)
Applicants are sought from individuals who have a third level qualification in Social Care, Health & Social Care, Social work, Nursing or other relevant health qualification, a proven track record of providing person centred care and leadership and/or management experience. Experience of working with people with an intellectual disability and/or persons with a dual diagnosis is essential. Ideally experience of mental health and older persons support, as well as a working knowledge of Person Centred and Behavioural Support Planning within an adult’s residential service is desired.
Staff Nurse (Intellectual Disability)

The role of the Staff Nurse (Intellectual Disability) is to provide holistic, person-centred nursing care, promoting optimum independence, enhancing the quality of life for service users with intellectual, physical or sensory disability in all aspects of daily living.
On occasion the Staff Nurse (Intellectual Disability) may be expected to take responsibility for a unit or community facility in the absence of a house co-ordinator. S/he must practice in accordance with the Code of Professional Conduct as set out by the Nursing Board (An Bórd Altranais) and within the policies, guidelines, protocols of the units / settings in which they are employed.
