On occasion the Staff Nurse may be expected to take responsibility for a unit or community facility in the absence of the Manager.
S/he must practice in accordance with the Code of Professional Conduct as set out by the Nursing Board (An Bórd Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais) and within the policies, guidelines, protocols of the Association.

Essential Criteria:
Fully Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland
Have a clear understanding of the HIQA Standards governing Disability Services
Be Person Centered and possess a good knowledge of Intellectual Disability
Excellent IT, administration, report writing and organisational skills
Demonstrate initiative, good interpersonal and teamwork skills

Desirable
Experience in working in the Intellectual Disability Sector
Registered Intellectual Disability Nurse
Full Clean Drivers Licence
