SENIOR PSYCHOLOGIST or STAFF GRADE PSYCHOLOGIST

FIXED TERM CONTRACT, PART TIME (1 day per week), PARENTAL LEAVE COVER

The successful candidate will provide psychology supports to families of children with disabilities attending the HSE North Kildare Early Intervention Team currently based in Clane, Co Kildare.

Essential Requirements:

An Honours Primary Degree in Psychology;
Post-graduate professional qualification in clinical or educational psychology;
Five years post-graduate experience inclusive of time spent in professional training (for applicants seeking to work at Senior level);
Relevant experience working with infants and young children with a range of developmental disabilities;
Experience of working effectively within the context of an interdisciplinary team;
Full current driving license and ability to travel in the local service area.

Desirable Requirements:

A commitment to the philosophy of family centred practice;
Experience of the Assessment of Need process (Disability Act 2005);
Demonstrated competency in the diagnostic assessment of autism.
