SENIOR GRADE PSYCHOLOGIST
Full-time Permanent Position based at Mullingar, Co Westmeath
We are looking to recruit a Senior Psychologist who has a passion for, and a commitment to working with adults with intellectual disabilities who are presenting with behaviours of concern. We are seeking an individual who can appreciate an evolving role for the psychologist in assisting individuals and their supporters in realising ambitious life visions. As an organisation we espouse a radical commitment to person centred values and we wish to recruit individuals who will drive the move towards individualisation of service supports. Our over arching aim is for the people with intellectual disabilities whom we support to be valued as fully integrated members of society with full citizenship rights.
This post will be based in Mullingar and will involve travel across dispersed service settings in counties Westmeath and Longford.
Essential Requirements:
An Honours Primary Degree in Psychology
Post-graduate professional psychological qualification (clinical, educational or counselling psychology)
Five years professional experience (inclusive of time spent in professional training)
Relevant experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Experience of working effectively within a team context
Ability to travel within the local service area, including full driving license.
