SPIRASI is the national centre for the rehabilitation of victims of torture in Ireland.
Annually the centre provides services to approximately 600 victims from over 80 different countries. We are looking to fill a vacancy for the role of Therapy Coordinator. This is a key position within the organisation. Usually this role is part-time (3 days per week) however SPIRASI has recently secured funding for two years from the European Commission to deliver family therapy and the contract will therefore be full-time for two years. The role will therefore be subject to review at the conclusion of the initial contract period.
The ideal candidate will be able to fulfil the following criteria:
Essential:
Full relevant qualification in either psychotherapy or psychology
Full Membership and Accreditation with a recognized professional body (Such as the IACP or PSI)
Minimum of three years experience working with traumatized clients
Experience in working with diverse populations and/or asylum seekers
Able to provide a range of therapies and to work within an individual or group setting
Able to speak English to IELTS Level 8 (Expert User)
Able to work effectively as part of multi-disciplinary team and independently.
IT Proficient (Ability to use Salesforce will be a distinct advantage)
Desirable:
Experience in managing people
Experience of delivering workshops, trainings and public speaking
Knowledge or experience of family therapy
Ability to communicate in another language (French, Russian or Arabic)
Good sense of self care
