Two Basic Grade Psychologists – Cheeverstown House – Dublin

Cheeverstown House is a voluntary organisation, in a four-year accredited partnership with the Council on Quality and Leadership, based in South County Dublin. We provide a range of support services to people with an intellectual disability in various locations and our core values are person-centredness, community inclusion and active participation with a strong emphasis on quality. We are now recruiting to fill the following posts:

BASIC GRADE PSYCHOLOGIST

2 full-time, permanent posts (37 hours)

1 x Adult post

The successful applicant will be part of a multi-disciplinary team and will be responsible for contributing to the provision of services to adults who present with intellectual disability.

She or he will be required to provide assessment, support and intervention to adults and their families/supporters referred to the team. Clinical Supervision will be provided.

Experience of working with adults with intellectual disability is desirable.

1 x Children’s post (0-18 years)

The successful applicant will be part of a well-established specialist, multi-disciplinary, community based team and will be responsible for contributing to the provision of services to children who present with complex needs related to physical, sensory or intellectual disability.

She or he will be required to provide assessment, support and intervention to children and their families referred to the team. Clinical Supervision will be provided.

Experience of working with children with complex disabilities is desirable.

Requirements for both posts:

Applicants must hold an honours degree in psychology and a recognised postgraduate qualification.
Eligibility and validation to work in the Republic of Ireland.
Access to a car and a full clean driving licence.
