Business Development Coordinator – Dublin Rape Crisis Centre

We are seeking to expand our fundraising capacity by appointing a suitably experienced person, with a proven record of success in fundraising, to create a more sustainable financial base for the work of the Centre. The successful candidate will have the energy, creativity and drive to leverage public, philanthropic and corporate support for the DRCC. This is an exciting new career opportunity to join the Centre’s Fundraising Events team and to proactively seek and build public, philanthropic and corporate donations, generate new fundraising initiatives and communities and enhance the Centre’s established fundraising efforts.

The position is full-time. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Reporting to the CEO, the Business Development Coordinator will:
Implement a multi-channel, strategic, goal-based business development plan to develop and expand the fundraising capacity of the Centre to implement the DRCC mission.
Establish and manage key donor relationships
Prepare reports and communications to the CEO and Board and to funders and investors.
Develop and increase fundraising income using various communications media and technology.
Build and maintain donor and funding databases.
Work with existing fundraising team to develop and monitor fundraising campaigns.
Provide administrative support to the Board Fundraising Committee.
Other duties as assigned.

Skills and experience:
Experience in developing and successfully implementing a variety of fundraising programmes;
Experience in building and maintaining individual, corporate and foundation donor relationships;
Experience in successful grant application and report writing;
Experience working with fundraising software or databases and systems;
Excellent communications and organisational skills;
Literacy in financial information and accounts;
People and Business Management skills.
