BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Young Social Innovators (YSI) promotes youth led social innovation by providing programmes, resources and supports to young people and educators. We do this because we believe our young people have a substantial contribution to make in creating a better, fairer, more equal and sustainable Ireland.
We put social innovation and entrepreneurship right into the heart of education and are committed to creating opportunities for young people to engage in social innovation as early as possible.
THE ROLE:
We are now seeking an experienced Partnership Development Executive to expand our funding base by identifying new opportunities and nurturing existing relationships and partnerships.
The successful candidate will be an experienced fundraising professional who can demonstrate an ability to deliver strong growth in revenue through public and corporate partnerships. He/she will be skilled in business development as well as researching and submitting high-quality funding applications to statutory and European funding bodies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Research, meet and help recruit new potential sponsor partners including corporate sponsors, foundations, philanthropists and public/EU funders.
Develop and maintain YSI’s relationships with these partners and potential funders with particular attention to recruiting for the Companies for Social Innovation Network scheme.
Writing funding proposals to various potential sponsors/grantors: e.g. government grant schemes; regional schemes; international initiatives/foundations; EU based applications.
Building new innovative channels of funding, e.g. partnerships with companies to raise funds through donations, employee giving schemes and a new high level philanthropic giving: “Friends of YSI”
Raising awareness for Young Social Innovators at various events
SKILLS & QUALITIES REQUIRED:
Passionate about the voluntary sector and the work of Young Social Innovators
Previous experience raising funds for charity, business or social initiatives
A strong track record in securing institutional and public sector grants and/or EU funding
A proven ability in writing effective funding proposals and applications
Proven track record in building and nurturing public and corporate relationships to drive net income growth
Excellent project management skills; the ability to prioritise, plan and organise own workload
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
A committed and flexible team player with strong relationship management skills
