Support Worker in Participation & Development – Dublin Simon Community

We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker in Participation & Development whose role is to ensure the delivery of Participation and Development services to clients.

This role is rewarding and varied allowing the individual to use their skills and knowledge to ensure effective outcomes for our clients.

Working in a professional role and environment, core responsibilities include:

Coordinate and deliver the Literacy programme to clients across Dublin Simon Community.
Provide individualised support in Adult Basic Education to clients.
Facilitate or co-facilitate groups and meaningful activities with clients.
Work with the Participation and Development full time volunteers supporting them to deliver the meaningful activities across the services.
Work closely with the CE Engagement supervisor to deliver modules in the CE Engagement programme. Be flexible and open to training to help in delivering these modules.
Coordinate the annual Scrappy But Happy book, collecting work throughout the year and liaising with the creative agency around layout and content.
Organise the annual Scrappy But Happy launch and recognition event for clients with the support of the Participation & Development team.
Work co-operatively with managers, staff and teams to promote the service and to encourage and support clients to engage in participation and development projects.
We are looking for an individual with a degree in a relevant discipline and experience of working with disadvantaged groups, who is client centred and committed to providing the highest levels of quality service.
