Foróige is the National Youth Development Organisation, which promotes and fosters youth development through the operation of various youth services in urban and rural areas throughout the country. The Mulhuddart Community Youth Project is funded by the Dublin and Dun Laoghaire ETB through Young People’s Facilities and Services Fund Round 1 & 2, and is provided by Foróige in conjunction with the Mulhuddart Community Youth Project Advisory Committee and now invites applications for the following position: Youth Officer; Mulhuddart Community Youth Project.
The Project which operates in Mulhuddart seeks to enhance the life chances of the young people of Mulhuddart and to assist them fulfil their potential. The Youth Officer will be involved in working with young people aged 10-18 years, in voluntary youth groups, special interest groups and summer programmes as well as being responsible for targeting and engaging young people aged 14+ who are most at risk in the area, through centre-based and outreach work.
The successful applicant will have:
Education to National Diploma or Degree standard, (candidates with exceptional, relevant work experience may also be considered in lieu of degree qualifications).
A minimum of 1 years relevant work experience.
Paid or voluntary experience working with young people.
