Mercier Press is Ireland s oldest independent publishing house, based in Cork. We are looking for a bright, articulate, motivated and organised person with a passion for books to join our team in the role of Marketing & Sales Executive. As trade publishers, we publish titles across a wide range of categories from intriguing biographies to beautifully designed cookbooks to fascinating history books. Working closely with our authors, commissioning editors and sales representative, you will design and implement sales and marketing plans for each season s new titles, as well as an overall marketing strategy for the Company and the backlist. You will have strong interpersonal skills and be confident in drafting publicity campaigns and dealing with the media. Working alongside our sales representative you will forge relationships with our key customers and identify new opportunities for sales.

Skills Requirements

Proven capability to develop and execute publicity and marketing campaigns. A strong ability for digital marketing including experience in SEO, PPC, link building, analytics, social media, email marketing, blogs, podcasts, website management. Good Irish media contacts.Ability to report on campaign performance and make recommendations for improvements. Experience in a customer or consumer-facing role. Strong organisation and communication skills.Excellent verbal, written and computer skills.
