Description
Lecturer/Registrar/Specialist Registrar post in Clinical Medicine Naas General Hospital/Tallaght Hospital. Applications are invited for the above post which will support the Head of the Discipline and the Academic Supervisor with the academic development, organisation, and coordination of the assessment and evaluation processes of the medical programme. The academic and clinical components will be located between the Trinity Centres of Education, Trinity Campus and associated teaching hospitals. The appointment which is available from 13th July, 2015 will be offered on a one-year contract basis. The post will support, coordinate and deliver the clinical teaching and assessment of undergraduate students in the School of Medicine. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the ongoing review of the curriculum. At least one third of the time will be contributed to the teaching programme. The appointment will have a formal teaching and clinical commitment.
Skills Requirements
Qualifications: MRCPI or a qualification in medicine equivalent. Curriculum development and teaching/lecturing experience desirable. Competencies: Excellent clinical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for “bedside” teaching. Candidates will undertake a significant research commitment. Possess excellent organisational skills.
